About Us
We are part of a broad-based coalition that is working toward reasonable and responsible
solutions to the problems posed by ethanol produced from grain. Grain-based ethanol
mandates, subsidies, and protective tariffs contribute to skyrocketing corn and
food prices in the United States and globally, and unintended environmental problems
-- without solving our nation's energy crisis.
We support the efforts of those seeking
EPA waivers from the renewable fuel standard mandates for ethanol produced from
grain. We also support a shift from grain-based ethanol to the production of cellulosic
biofuels and the elimination of subsidies and protective tariffs for grain-based
ethanol.
Our coalition includes businesses and industry leaders who seek relief
from the grain-based ethanol crisis on behalf of their employees, customers, and
American consumers. We represent a wide array of industries, including poultry,
cattle, dairy, egg and pork producers, food distributors, agricultural services,
restaurants, grocery stores, packaging, transportation, feed and supply, breeders,
and agricultural and food product associations.
